HOSPITAL ESTIMATES
WORK AT TAURANGA INTEREST IN ELECTIONS (From Our Own Correspondent J TAURANGA, To-day. The Tauranga Hospital Board held a j special meeting on Wednesday to pass estimates for the ensuing year. The j receipts are estimated at £3,020, and j expenditure £9,422. This means an 1 increase in the levy on the contribut- j ing bodies. At the ordinary meeting the superintendent reported the average number of patients for the month to be 22. There had been 41 admitted during the month. A statement submitted by the secretary showed the farm to have made a profit of £72. It was decided to protest against the I decision of the Hospital Association j as to the grouping of boards for tuber- 1 culosis districts. Messrs. L>. Grant, A. Brown and the j Rev. Heatherton announced that it ' \\:js not their intention to offer them- j selves for re-election to the board. The Hospital Board election is creat- ■ ing much interest in the town, there j being six candidates for two seats. ;
