GRAVE CHARGES AGAINST PAINTER BAIL NOT ALLOWED Bertram James O’Connor, 34, a painter, the man against wliom four serious charges involving an alleged assault on a girl at Morningside were made in the Police Court yesterday, is to be tried in the Supreme Court. Late yesterday afternoon, after evidence on the four charges was completed, bail was refused the accused man. O’Connor was charged with causing a young woman actual bodily harm, with, indecent assault on a girl 4* years! of age, with obscene exposure and with using obscene language.
