TAKAPUNA DRAINAGE
PIPELINE COMPLETED Mr. Sling er, the engineer of the Takapuna Borough Council, reported this morning to the Mayor of tin* borough. Mr. J. W. Williamson, th.ii the bolting up of the long sower outfall pipe-line had been successful!' completed at the end of the Milford storage culvert at Black Rock The pipe line, which is over 500 feet in length, had been assembled and tested on Takapuna Beach, and was floated round on Tuesday last with a favourable tide, and laid in position, and by intensive work since the desired end of the most necessary and important work reached finality earlv this morning. There are two outfalls in the system —one as above and the other at St. Leonard’s, and the work meets with the approval of the officials of the Health Department and the Harbour Board. •
