MOTHER CLAIMS DAMAGES AS DEPENDANT £lO4 AWARDED Demonstrating a motor-cycle in February last cost Edward E. A. Diehl, aged 17, his life. He had an accident, and died of his injuries. At the Arbitration Court this morning, before Mr. Justice Frazer, Alice Mary Diehl, widow, of Auckland, and mother of deceased (Mr. J. J. Sullivan), claimed reasonable compensation, and medical and funeral expenses amounting to £3l 14s, from Ormond Earl Cordes, motor-cycle dealer (Mr. E. H. The statement of claim set out’that deceased, who was employed as a salesman and mechanic by defendant, while teaching a customer to ride, was thrown from the sidecar, and received injuries resulting in his death.
