NEW WALLACE REVUE
Jules Verne and George Wallace —a combination of thought which has brightened the new Wallace revue at St. James Theatre. While Verne soared to fantastic heights, much beyond the thought of his time, George Wallace takes an easy plane of humour. It exactly suits the audience. George has taken a perfectly good idea from tertainment, “Moon Beams,” now amusing Auckland, George gives his version of a trip to the moon. Comedy moves rapidly, and George’s discoveries away from Mother Earth are intriguing. New scenes and dresses are a feature of the revue. A big programme of bright band music is given by the stage band, with George Wallace in the lead. Two of the best numbers ana a trombone solo by Miff Myers, ano a specially accompanied soft shoe dance by Olive Partridge and Thelma Buxton. The Six Rascals are an entertaining ballet. Marshall Crosby. in character sketches, singing and humour, is sue? cessful again. Marie Nyman figures prominently all through the show, and others who do well are Maida Jones, the Two Dudleys, Jack Scott, Si Meredith and Jim Romaine.
