A fascinating - drama of underworld life and of a man’s fight against another’s hatred is revealed in “Forgotten Faces,” now at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres. The story tells of “Heliotrope Harry,” an old crook, who had a very soft spot for his daughter. lie arranges for her to be well brought up without knowing what her father was, but out of jealousy and hatred the girl’s mother tries to disillusion her. To prevent this happening “Harry” torments the mother with mysterious noises and suggestions of forgotten faces. The strong cast is headed by Mary Brian, Baclanova, William Powell and Clive Brook. Tlie second big picture is “Warming Up,” starring Richard U>ix as a professional baseball player who falls in love with the daughter of the captain of a rival team. YE OLDE PIRATE SHIPPE Auckland’s unique cabaret. Ye Olde Pirate Shippe, Milford, which is open G verr Wednesday and Saturday evening, will be open as usual to-morrow evening. Ye Yersatile Pirates’ Orchestra will provide all the latest music. Late transport will he available as usual.
