The first meeting of the newly, appointed Mental Defectives Board ms taken place in Wellington and ft* board’s line of policy has been -worked out, states Dr. T. G. Gray, InspectorGeneral of Mental Hospitals. The activities of the new department largely depend upon the position whicn it occupies in the budget. However, proposals for development of its work have been framed and are to be submitted to the Minister of Public Health, the Hon. A. J. Stall worthy.
