SCHOOL BRIDGE OPEN

CEREMONY AT REMUERA The new bridge between the infant school and the main building of Meadowbank School, Remuera, was opened on Saturday afternoon. Mr. A. Burns, chairman of tha Auckland Education Board, opened the “bridge,” and congratulated tha headmaster, Mr. J. F. Roberts, and the school committee, on the successful work. He said he hoped to see the school equipped with swimming baths later on. The cost of the structure was about £225. To this, the Education Deparv ment made a grant of £l2O. Plans and estimates w'ere prepared by members of the committee. Many stalls made up the fair, and items were given by pupils of the school. There were competition'.
