SPORTS UPSET

RAIN CAUSES SEVERAL POSTPONEMENTS CPORTS fixtures were postponed freely on Saturday afternoon because of Heavy rains. No bowling took place and, where football practices were sheduled, there were scanty attendances in most cases. Yachting and rowing events were conducted, however, and only one or two golf fixtures were put off. The motor-cycle sports set down for decision at Mangere were postponed for a fortnight, but the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club held two distance races. Auckland Training College met Whangarei High School in a Rugby game and won by 21 points to 3, and Y.M.C.A. played North Shore in a friendly Soccer match.
