CHANGE OF MINISTERS FAREWELL TO MR. DALBY To take the position held at Pitt j Street Methodist Church by the Rev. I Lionel B. Dalhy, the Rev. W. Walker, of Trinity Methodist Church, Dunedin, | is to arrive in Auckland on Wednesday j by the Rotorua express. Mr. Dalby is leaving Auckland for j England, via Australia, by the Aorangi next Monday. He will probably be . stationed at Plymouth. At a big farewell at Pitt Street. Mr. | Dalby was presented with a New Zea- ! land rug. Many speakers praised Mr. ; Dalby for his work and also referred j ta the services given by Mrs. Dalby. J A farewell was given Mr. Walker in Dunedin last month. Many speakers told of the effects of his work throughout Otago. He cleared £ 5,000 from the | £II,OOO debt on a mission property in I Dunedin and had done invaluable work in the Dunedin Central Mission. Mr. Walker also has an active inter- ! est in Y.M.C.A. affairs. A cheque was handed to Mr. Walker, i At the farewell there were representa- ; fives of all branches of activity in the church. Pleasure was expressed that Mr. Walker was to have control of one of the largest charges in the Methodist Church. His work in the Synod was also praised.
