ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

ONEHUNGA DIVISION The Onehunga division of the St. John Ambulance Association, which was founded in October last by the members of the Onehunga Fire Brigade, is developing into a vigorous body. The winter season was opened last evening at the fire station, when the superintendent and founder, Mr. Malcolm Ogden, gave a spirited and instructive address on ambulance work. Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., -who was elected president, told of some of his first-aid experiences when he was a policeman in London. He also presented the corps with a cup for competition and a handsome picture of the original St. John Ambulance building in London. Mr. C. A. Osborne was elected vicepresident. Dr. James Kirkwood hon. surgeon, Mr. J. W. Teed-Magelow hon. chemist, and Mr. T. Lardner hon. treasurer. The Grade Cup won by Messrs. M. Osborne, D. Grayson. J. Ogden and H. W. Thompson was presented by Mr. Jordan.
