“PAID TO LOVE” AT BRITANNIA
The story of “Paid to Love,” now at the Britannia Theatre, starring George O’Brien, tells of a young prince who was more interested in machinery than girls. His father, the king, desired an heir and was displeased. Then, with the aid of the globe-trot-ting Yankee, he finds the Parisian dancing girl, hoping that she will arouse the prince’s belated fancy for the fair. She does. But the king had expected it to be merely a temporary affair such as princes are said to Indulge in for sport, after which a lady of royal blood would attract his youthful highness. It doesn’t work out that way, but everybody is happy and the prince does finally marry. “Take Me Home,” the second feature, is a happy comedy starring Bebe Daniels as a chorus girl.
