MR. EDWIN HARDING The death took place yesterday ‘ the homestead, "Ounuwhao,” at TWW wahine, near Dargavilel, of Mr. ha* Harding, aged 66, who came to tdistrict in 3 878. He was the youngest son of the J John Harding. of Mount ' erE , Hawke’s Bay. He was one ot best known farmers in the dl f_ and until very recently was a n> ber of almost every local ooa> institution in it. . He was best known by his cjJßtion with the dairy industry. Tieone of the original directors and antors of the Northern Wairoa v*; Company, and held office cor.tinu for a-quarter of a century. -t & supporter of dairy control, v e tended many meetings and comer of the National Dairy Association representative of Northern North Auckland. He was also a strong support the no-licence movement, and a time was a member of the Ne' land Alliance. He was ' soldier-settlers’ revaluation boarowas well known as an asses Assessment Court cases. He is survived by a widow, one four daughters, two brothers E. Harding and Maurice Hardin* one sister, Mrs. A. Wood.
