SHORTAGE OF TRUCKS
(Special to THE SUN) DUNEDIN, Tuesday. . The Kailway Department is short of trucks in South Otago, and the demand has been so great of late that Sunday trains have become a necessity. Last Sunday a train -came from Tapanui to the siding at Finegami. conveying 3.000 fat lambs to the South Otago Freezing Company’s works. Four more of these trains are I to run front the Tapanui-Heriot dis- i trict. which, under the stimulus pro- 1 vided by the recent turn in the affairs j of the Freezing Company, bids fair to j become one of the largest sources of ; supply for the works.
