Some suburbs are still inundated. All sorts of boats are being paddled along: the flooded streets. The flood has been responsible for thousands of deaths of fowls and ducks, as well as cats. dogs and cattle. Many carcases of animals floated into houses, and permission must bo obtained from the healih officer before the people can regain their premises. Thirteen and a-haif inches of rain fell in the 24 hours ended at. 9 a.m. on Friday at Mathinna.
