MR, HENRY JEFFRIES Mr. Henry Jeffries, who died at his home in Rose Road, Ponsonby, on Sunday, came to New Zealand at the age of" 17 and for some years engaged in farming at Blenheim with his brother. Later he entered the Civil Service and was postmaster at Helensville. Waipu. Mercer and lastly at Cambridge, where he served for nine years. Completing 40 years of service. Mr. Jeffries went in for farming at Waiuku for some years, but then removed to Auckland. He was a prominent member of the Masonic Order and was a well-known bowler.
