AVERY healthy market, with business spread over a fairly wide range of securities, was registered on Change this morning.

FLUCTUATIONS Price movements shown by a comparison of sales made during the past 24 hours with prices at the time of the previous reported sale include: South British Insurance, fall of 6d. Rank of N.Z., rise of 3d. N.Z. Paper Mills, rise of 3d. Waihi Mining, fall of 2d. Nat. Bank of 'Asia (con.), fall of 3d. > N.Z. Farmers’ Fert., fall of 6d. * * * New Zealands featured in the banking group, the market strengthening to see busines at 62s 3d. with more wanted .) t that figure. Commercials of Australia were active at 29s 9d. Most shares in the section meet with a steady demand. Coals are practically idle, although most shares meet with a fairly steady demand. Renown ordinaries are neglected at the moment. Pukemiros nre offered, ex div., at 66s 6d. but buyers are not attracted. A . buyer for tV.aipas came in at 11s this morning to find sellers firmer at 13s.

In the miscellaneous section New Zealand Farmers’ Fertilisers are slightly below the market prior to the Easter vacation, but continue to meet with a healthy demand on the lower levels. A firmer tone was noted in the market for Sanfords, Ltd., buyers offering 17s 4d for the ordinaries, compared with sales yesterday afternoon at 17s 3d. * * & The mining market is steady. Waihis eased 2d over the past 24 hours. Most of the other better-known scrip meets with a steady at recent quotations. * * * Business yesterday afternoon. —Sanfords, Ltd., 17s 3d; Taranaki Oil, 5s 3d; Milne and Choyce (deb.), 26s 9d. Business at this morning’s early call. —On 'Change-; Waihi Mining, 13s 6d (4 parcels). Reported: Nat. Bank of ’Asia (con.). £9 13s 9d; South British Insurance, 665; N.Z. Paper Mills, 18s 6d.
