MAUI POMARE FOR APlA. —Efforts are being made by Spedding, Ltd., to dispatch the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare from Auckland on Friday for Niue Island, and Apia, Samoa. MAKURA FOR SYDNEY. —In continuation of her voyage from San Francisco and way ports, the Union Company’s R.M. S. Makura leaves Wellington this afternoon for Sydney. AORANGI FROM VANCOUVER. Due at Auckland on Sunday, April 21, from Vancouver and way ports, the Union Company advises that the R. Aorangi is to leave here at 10 p.m. on Monday, April 22, for Sydney. lONIC CLEARED COLON. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion liner lonic is reported to have cleared Colon last Saturday in continuation of her voyage from Wellington to London. She was dispatched from Wellington on March 13. TAIROA AT NEW YORK. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tairoa which was dispatched from Wellington for . New York, Boston, Halifax and London on March 3, is reported to have reached New York last Friday. TUTANEKAI SAILS. The Government steamer Tutanekai sailed for the Kerin ad 12 T » mds yesterday to rebuild and replenish the provision depots. She is due back at Auckland about April 16 to load stores for Northern lightliouses. MAUN GAN U I AT WELLINGTON. _ This morning the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maunganui arrived at Wellington from Sydney She is to leave the former port at 3 p.m. on Friday on her return trip to Sydney BARON FAIRLIE A R RIVI N G.— Messrs. Robert Millar and Co. are advised that the cargo steamer Baron Fairlie is to arrive from Port Arthur. Texas, at daylight on Monday next, April 15. She will unload case oil here, and then proceed to Wellington about April 17. CANADIAN WINNER TO COMPLETE. —Due at Napier to-day from Wellington. the Canadian Winner arrives at Auckland on Friday to complete her loading. Efforts are to be made to dispatch the vessel from this port on Saturday next for New York, Boston and Montreal, via Panama. PORT BOATS REACH LONDON. Cable advice states that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s motor-ship Port Alma and the company's steamer Port Caroline reached London from New Zealand last Friday. The Port Caroline was dispatched from Wellington X ebary 23 and the Port Alma five days later. TAINUI DUE WEEK-END. Due at Auckland this week-end from Wellington. the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui will complete her discharge of London cargo here, and will' then commence to load for her return voyage. A. S. Paterson and Company will act as the local agents. SUSSEX LEAVES CALCUTTA.— -The Union Company has been notified b> cable that the Sussex left Calcutta last Wednesday, and was to sail from Kaih goon yesterday for Penang, Singapore, Samarang, Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vesesl is due at Auckland about May 11. TREGONNEL FROM CUBA.—Spedding, Limited, have received advice that the steamer Tregonnel was dispatched from Cuba on March 16 with a full cargo of raw sugar for Auckland. The vessel cleared Panama on March 21, and is due at Auckland about April 20. She was previously at Auckland in September. 1923. STORSTEN DUE.— No radio message lias yet been received from the tanker Storsten, which is now due at Auckland from San Pedro. The vessel has bulk motor spirit for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. She will berth at the Western Wharf, and will unload to the agency of the Atlantic Union Oil Company.
RARANGA DUE FRIDAY. Due at Auckland on Friday from Napier, the Shaw Savill and Albion steamer Raranga continues loading here, and leaves on April 20 for Wellington to complete. The vessel is to sail finally from "Wellington on April 24 for London, Avonmouth. Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. A. S. Paterson and Company will act as the local* agents.
KENNEDY SOL.D The coastal steamer Kennedy, which came to grief at the Manawatu Heads some months ago, and was severely damaged, has been purchased by Messrs. Holm and Co., of Wellington, owners of the Holmdale, John and Progress. She Kennedy has been laid up at Wellington since her mishap, the damage to her hull being extensive. It is understood that her new owners will dismantle her.
RUAPEHU’S DISCHARGING PORTS. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Ruapehu, which left London on April 4, will discharge her cargo at Wellington, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton. Auckland, and New Plymouth. She is due at Wellington on May 13. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY.—According to cable advice received, the Huddart Parker's intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Sydney this morning from Wellington, and leaves at noon on Friday for Auckland, where she is due next Tuesday morning. OTIRA TO LOAD.—Advice has been received by L. D. Nathan and Company that the Shaw, Savili and Albion steamer Otira is due at Auckland on April 15 to continue her loading. She leaves here on April 18 for Wellington, where she completes, and finally sails on April 24 for London, via Montevideo and Tenerifte. BENHOLM CLEARS NORFOLK. The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Benholm is reported to have cleared Norfolk, Virginia last Friday in continuation of her voyage from New York to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dun edin. She is due at Auckland about the middle of May. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. BROCKABECK’S BOILER TROUBLE. —Relayed wireless advice has been received that the cargo steamer Broekabeck with linseed from the River Plate is having trouble with her boilers, and is proceeding under easy steam. * She is expected to arrive at Auckland on Friday next, April 12, but her local agent, Mr. G. W. Bews, has had no reply to his latest radio message. CAMBRIDGE ARRlVlNG.—According to wireless advice received, the Federal steamer Cambirdge is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 2 o'clock this afternoon from Liverpool. The vessel will berth at Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete. MARAMA FROM SYDNEY. —The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama arrived at Auckland at 9 o’clock this morning from Sydney and berthed at the Central Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left the New South Vales port last Friday afternoon, and experienced a fair weather passage across the Tasman Sea. The following passengers disembarked here :—- First class: Mesdames I. PORI OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURE YESTERDAY RARAWA (4.30 p.m.), 1,077 tons, Bark, for New Plymouth. The Rarawa is due from New Plymouth at 7.30 a.m. to-morrow, and leaves on the return trip at three o'clock on Thursday afternoon. The Regulus is due at Onehunga on April 15 to load for Picton, Nelson, and West Coast ports. The Hokianga is scheduled to sail for Hokianga at noon to-morrow. The Hanturu is expected from Hokianga on Wednesday morning.
