I During the week-end a meeting took i place between the committee of the j franklin Winter Show court and dele- ■ gates from the Auckland Winter Show ! Hamlin W V., F - ° Donnell represented l he Winter Show Association, and Mr. J- W. Robinson, chairman of the r ranklm committee presided organiser of the Franklin court, Br< ? wn - submitted a financial statement showing that the court C J ?r^i teeß revenue last year was ■ Lio3 is 10d, including the £SO from the association and prize monev, and that the expenditure had exceeded this total by about £2. -^-ep or ding to members’ statements much voluntary labour had been given ' t nS' l - < r ar ', , and it ' vas thought that theie should be some recompense to [ those who had had to provide subr stitutes in their businesses while they worked on the court. There was considerable discussion on this point and then the delegates ’ from the association agreed to rec-om--5 ™ Pnc l , t . hat should be granted the ; f ranklin committee for the expenses of its court at this year’s show.
