Born and educated in Auckland 1 he had already gained a good insight into the affairs of the commercial world by the time he joined the Freezing Company in 1910 as chief clerk. He was appointed secretary about seven years ago. In Ms younger days Mr. Brown represented Varsity on the football field. To-day he finds greater pleasure in golf and yachting.
