PROMINENT IN BUSINESS

Mr. A. F. Brown, secretary of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company, is a well-known figure in Auckland meat exporting circles.

No talk on recent developments in the freezing industry throughout the province is complete without mention of Mr. Brown. At Westfield he is looked upon as an authority on overseas and local marketing conditions. Among the farming community he is known in all parts of the province. Born and educated in Auckland 1 he had already gained a good insight into the affairs of the commercial world by the time he joined the Freezing Company in 1910 as chief clerk. He was appointed secretary about seven years ago. In Ms younger days Mr. Brown represented Varsity on the football field. To-day he finds greater pleasure in golf and yachting.
