LIKES MUSSOLINI

SIR. A. CHAMBERLAIN’S IMPRESSIONS (United Service} LONDON, Sunday. The Florence correspondent of th Observer” states that in a special interview Sir Austen Chamberlain, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, said both Signor Mussolini and himself hoped that from the labours of the Expert Committee on Reparation there would result a solution such os all the interested Powers could accept. If those hopes were realised another great -step toward normal conditibns would become possible. Asked for his opinion of Italy’s new Parliament, Sir Austen said he could not see the same kind of experiment successful in England. He did not think the Fascism system would endanger peace. Signor Mussolini was a big man, and one who, if he gave his word, kept it. "He is direct to deal with,” said the British Minister, “and I like him.”
