ACCORD BETWEEN ITALY AND FRANCE INSPIRED BY CHAMBERLAIN? (United Service) LONDON, Saturday. The Rome correspondent of. the “Morning Post” says he understands that negotiations between Italy and France are nearing the final stage and that there is a prospect of agreement more favourable to an accord. Superimposed on the Anglo-French entente this might resolve itself into a tripartite bulwark for Locarno. There is ground for the belief that the idea was prompted in the course of a recent conversation between the Italian Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, and the British Foreign Secretary, Sir Austen Chamberlain.
