HIGHER WAGES WANTED (United Service) LONDON, Saturday. j The members of the shipyards trades unions have decided to make an immediate application for higher wages. A preliminary conference between the employers’ executive and the j trade unions’ delegates was held to- 1 day at Newcastle. At the conclusion of the meeting the workers’ representatives announced their intention of making a formal application. The men contend that the industry has sufficiently revived to justify a revision of their wages.
