Casey, divisional superintendent of North Island railways, left for Wellington last evening. The Hon. A. .T. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, left for Wellington last evening on the Limited. Mr. J. A. Redpath, of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland this morning and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. Clive Leonard, a well-known figuro in Melbourne racing circles, arrived in Auckland on the Niagara to-day. Mr. Alex. Duncan, general manager of Dominion Motors, reached Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Dr. John Campbell Duncan. Government balneologist, Rotorua. arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited. Mr. Allan Box, of London, who is making a business trip to New Zealand, arrived from Sydney on the Niagara this morning. He is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. .T. McHardy-Forman. manager in New Zealand of General Motors. Ltd., who has been staying at the Grand Hotel, will leave for Vancouver, en route for England, by the Niagara tomorrow. Dr. Ada Paterson has been appointed the representative of the Health Department on the recently constituted Mental Defectives Board. Dr. Paterson is Director of the School Hygiene Division, and has had much experience in child welfare work. Mr. W. R. Bagge, who has been district railway engineer for one or two years at Ohakunc. has been transferred to Wellington. Mr. H. L. P. Smith has been appointc*d as the new engineer for Ohakune. and Mr. O. J. Doidge as assistant railway district engineer. Mr. F. Carroll, who lias been stationed at Ohakune for some years, in the railway transport office, has received notice of transfer. During his residence in Ohakune Mr. Carroll was secretary of the Ruapehu Rugby subUnion. Mr. J. Mac Gibbon, manager of the Christchurch branch of the Bank of New Zealand, who is making a motor tour of the North Island, accompanied by Mrs. Mac Gibbon, and the Misses i Mac Gibbon, is visiting Auckland. He , is staying at the Hotel Braeburn. Mr. A. C. Hammond, sales director of the Goodyear Tyre and Rulfoer Company. will leave Auckland to-morrow lor Canada and the United States. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Hammond and their son and daughter. They will return to New Zealand about next September. Messrs. W. J. Holdsworth. of Auckland. S. a. R. Mair, of Hunterville, G. C. Godfrey, of Wellington, G. A. Lewin. of Dunedin, and R. A. Anderson, of Invercargill, have been reappointed by the Government as members of the Local Government Loans beard for another year.
