Auckland bowlers returned to club arid inter-club fixtures on Saturday after the excitimcnt of the Easter tournament just decided. Playing conditions were ideal, greens being hard and fast. Bush, who is leaving Auckland for Brisbane this week, was tendered a farewell on the Auckland bowling green on Saturday. Mr. E. A. Craig, president of the club, presented Mr. Bush with a gold pencil as a token of appreciation of his many services to the club Mr. Bush feelingly replied. MARINE PENNANT With the match between Stanley and Waitemata on Saturday the competitions for the Marine Pennant were completed. Waitemata won four out of six matches for the day, and, thus securing the highest percentage of wins to matches for the season takes the pennant from Takapuna, hist year’s holders. The percentages scored by the four competing clubs were:—Waitemata, 56. SI; Takapuna, 52.08; Devonport, 45.95; Stanley, 40.28. PONSONBY PAIRS TOURNEY The final of the Ponsonby Bowling Club's pairs tournament, the section play of which was held on March 27, was decided on Saturday and resulted in a victory for Pearce and Griffiths (Ponsonby) over Trigg and Clark (Mount Albert), by 29 to 9. ST. HELIERS PAIRS TOURNEY The St. Heliers Bowling Club’s pairs tournament will be held on Wednesday. Hawes. The president, Mr. F. A. Audley, announced on Saturday afternoon that the cup would be the property of the club, and would be played for by its members. A miniature of the trophy would be presented to the winners. The first competition, a sealed handicap on the “sudden death” principle, will take place next Saturday. GREY LYNN V.
