' WHANGAREI PROPOSALS (Special to THE SUN) WHANGAREI, To-day. In order to discover what lands are available for closer settlement, the Mayor of Whangasot, Mr. L. J. Brake, and the county chairman, Mr. L. Webb, are in\iting farmtre who are willing to sell parts or the whole of their land to forward details to the Whangarei county clerk. With these particulars in hand, it is hoped to demonstrate to the Minister Lands, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, when he arrives in Whangarei next month, that there is land available for closer settlement work, and it is intended to ask the Minister to evolve a purchasing and settling scheme
