He intends to remain in Auckland until the contract has been let. “The theatre will be about a £200,000 job,” said Mr. Bohringer, who showed a Sun man a book of magnificent drawings, illustrating in colour the interior design of the theatre. “The design is unique and it will be up-to-date in every particular.” The work of excavating for the I foundations of the theatre is now rap- j idly approaching completion, and tend- j ers for the building will be called at an early date.
