CURE FOR DIVORCE

ENTERPRISE IN POLAND The divorce problem in Poland has apparently reached a climax. A man named Jabs, who had failed in many previous enterprises, hit on the strange idea of opening an office in the centre of the city for the purpose of reuniting couples who contemplated divorce. For a fee of about three shillings he proposed to “eliminate all ill-humour, and to advise all persons concerned: office hours, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, from 2 to 9 p.m. ’ Also purchases of houses aud building plots, and all kinds of transactions are carried through.” The new office became so popular that the authorities considered it necessary to interfere and close the shop.
