Gillies presid€*d over a large attendance of members and friends of the Otahuhu Rugby Union Football Club, at the annual smoke concert, held in the Otahuhu Public Hall on Saturday evening. Among the visitors were Air. H. Frost, chairman of the Auckland Rugby Union, Mr. A. Tilley, member of the Junior Management Board, Mr. It. Aleale and Air. W. J. Meredith. Both Air. Frost and Air. Tilley gave a few words of advice, directed mainly to the junior members of the club, and Air. Meredith gave a few reminiscences of his experience in the Rugby Union code. A number of musical items were given by Alessrs. H. Hunter, W. J. Meredith, Quinn and W. R. Dickson. Air. A. Alurdoch was the accompanist. DARGAVILLE CLUB (Special to THE SUN) DARGAVILLE, Sunday. The annual meeting of the Dargaville Football Club was held during the week-end, Mr. T. C. French presiding over a fair attendance. The balance sheet showed a credit of £32 17s 3d.
