STOREKEEPER FINED £2 EARLY MORNING OUTBURST At three o'clock on the morning ot February 22, Henry Robinson heard a shuffling of feet on the footpath out* side his home in Mount Smart Road, Onehunga. He put the intruder into the street and rang for the police. This morning, at Onehunga, W. .T. Munro answered charges of being unlawfully on premises and with using obscene language. Robinson told the court that Munro was drunk, and his language was too filthy to report. He wrote it down for the magistrate. Munro had been in the yard on a previous occasion, and had flashed a torch on a girl as »hi came home from a dance in the early morning. Mrs. Robinson and Miss Moore, a boarder, gave corroborative evidence as to the language. In a statement to the police, Munro admitted having a few whiskies with a friend before leaving his shop at 2.30 a.m. but denied having been In Robinsons’ yard. , _ Mr. R. G. Sellars, who appeared for Munro, said his client had never been in trouble before. He used to work in his shop until one or two o’clock in the morning. The Magistrate, Mr. F. H.
