FURNACE EXPLODES

MAN AND BOY INJURED VICTIMS BADLY BURNED Press Association THAMES, To-day. Through an explosion of gas which accumulated over a furnace used for drying moulds, Mr. John Judd, 45. and his son Maurice, 13, were severely burned yesterday and sent to hospital. Attention was drawn by neighbours to the excessive smoke, and the Judds went to stoke the fire, when an explosion occurred, blowing the top of the i'urnace off.
