GRAMMAR SCHOOL SPORTS SOME GOOD TIMES RECORDED Five records were shattered at the annual sports meeting of the Auckland Grammar School staged on the Domain Cricket Ground yesterday. All the records were broken by junior boys, several of whom by their fine showing should develop into firstclass athletes. Warburton established a new time of 2m 14 l-5s for the hafmile championship under 16. By running the quarter-mile in 56 2-ss, Slyfield managed to shatter an old record which had stood for many years. Carnachan lowered' the record for the 120yds hurdles championship under 16 by winning his heat in 17 l-ss; Spittal established a new time of 27 4-5 s in the 220yds handicap under 14; and Rossiter broke the old record for the SSOyds bicycle handicap under 16. The School Athletic Cup was won by O. L. Crump with 16 points, NewtonKing being runner-up -with 131 points. Slyfield won the Junior Cup with 20 points, and Hill was second with 16.
