MUNICIPAL CONCERT
"ALL-SULLIVAN” EVENING Band and vocalists will vie with one another in gaiety and spontaneity in the "All-Sullivan” programme to be presented in the Town Tlall to-night at 8 o’clock. Starting with the blythsome measures of the "Di Ballo” overture, the band will proceed to expound frolicsome themes from "The Mikado,” the sweetly bright melodies of “Patience,” the almost grand opera material of “The Yeomen of the Guard,” and back again into “The Mikado” for two tuneful and characteristic extracts, finishing with the sprightly gaiety of “The Gondoliers.” A serious note will be struck in the evening hymn, "O Gladsome Light” from “The Golden Legend,” and “The Lost Chord.” The vocalists, Mrs. Daisy Basham and Mr. Karl Atkinson, will revel, in “When Britain Really Ruled the Waves,” "There is Beauty 'in the Bellow of the Blast,” “When Maiden Loves” and "The Mikado’s Song,” and many others, if asked for in the usual manner. Seats can be booked. Arrangements are advertised.
