Obituary

MR. H. L. C. MOWBRAY Mr. Harry Logan Campbell Mowbray, who died in Auckland on Thursday, was well known in Auckland financial circles. Born and educated in this city, Mr. Mowbray joined his brother, Mr. 3D. R. C. Mowbray, barrister and solicitor, early in life, and for a number of years held the position of managing clerk in the firm. From there he left to join Mr. John Carlaw in the land and estate agency business as a partner. About two years ago he joined Mr. Sydney Thorne George, stock and sharebroker, and member of the Auckland Stock Exchange. Mr. Mowbray was keenly interested in several organisations working for the good of the community, and was a prominent member of the Anglican Church, taking an active part in its local management. He was also a member of the Masonic order.
