MATAKANA LEAVES LIVERPOOL. —Cabled news has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Ylatakana left Liverpool last Saturday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, YVellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on May 8. RIMUTAKA'S ITI NE B ARY.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rimutaka left New Plymouth at 7.40 p.m. on Tuesday to load at Oamaru, Bluff, Timaru, YVanganui and YY’ellington. She is due at YY’ellington on April IS and will sail finally from that port on April 20 for Southampton and London, via Montevideo and Las Palmas. TRONGATE DOCKED.—The steamer Trongate was docked at Auckland this morning for cleaning and painting. She leaves here at noon to-morrow for YVestport for bunkers, thence she proceeds to Sydney foi* orders. The Trongate has been discharging Java sugar at Chelsea under the agency of Spedding, Limited. SOUTHERN CROSS BERTHS. The Ylelanesian Ylission steamer Southern Cross came lout of dock this morning and berthed at the Central Wharf to complete her overhaul, and to refit for her coming cruise among the New Hebrides and -Solomon Islands. The vessel is expected to leave here on April 18. KING MALCOLM FOTT FREMANTLE. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the King Lint! motor-ship King Malcolm leaves Auckland at noon to-morrow for Fremantle where she will load wheat for Bombay. The vessel has been discharging basic slag at Auckland from Antwerp. MAUI POMARE UNDOCKED. The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare was undocked this morning, but did not come alongside the Kings YYTiarf ot\ ing to an outbreak of influenza among her native crew. It is hoped, however, to dispatch the vessel at 3 p.m. next Tuesday for Niue Island and Apia. Samoa. MAILS ARRIVING. —The Chief Postmaster has received advice that the R.YI.S. Ylakura from San Francisco is due at YVellington on Monday, April 8, and has 474 bugs of English and American mail for Auckland. The letter portion is expected to reach here per Ylain Trunk on Tuesday, April 9. The R.YI.S. Niagara left Sydney at 4 p.m. yesterday, and is due at Auckland at daylight on Ylonday with 433 bags of English, Eastern and Australian mails for Auckland. TUTANEKAI RETURNS. The Government steamer Tutanekai returned from Hauraki Gulf yesterday afternoon after attending to various unwatched beacons and buoys. She berthed at Queens Wharf, where she will replenish her bunkers and stores. At 11 o’clock next Ylonday morning she is to sail for the Kermadec Islands to rebuild and replenish i provision depots for castaway mariners. From the Kermadeos she will return to Auckland to take in stores for Northern lighthouses. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE The YY’aitemata will leave Port Ivembla on Saturdav for Fiji and Vancouver. The YVaihemo, from YVellington, was due at Ylelbourne yesterday. She proceeds thence on Saturday to Sydney, Fiji, and Vancouver. The YY’aiotapu left Los Angeles on April 2- She >'s due at Papeete on April 17 at YVellington on April 29, at Lyttelton on Ylay 4, at Ylelbourne on May 13, and at Sydney on Ylay 20. The YVairuna will leave San Francisco next Saturday, and Los Angeles on April & for Auckland, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. „ The Hauraki will leave San Francisco on April S for Los Angeles. Auckland, Wellington. Melbourne and Adelaide. The YVaikawa left Pago Pago on April 1 for Vancouver, where she is due on I April 20.

THE POOLTA. —The Union Company reports that the Poolta was to leave Port Stephens yesterday, Newcastle on Monday and Sydney on Tuesday for New Plymouth and Wellington. She is due at New Plymouth on April 15, and at Wellington on April 16. KIA ORA LEAVES COLON.— Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Kin. Ora left Colon last Sunday morning for Southampton and London, en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on March 8. AORANGI CLEARS VANCOUVER. Advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi sailed from Vancouver at noon on Wednesday, via Victoria. Honolulu and Suva, for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on Sunday, April 21. SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Marama and the Maunganui both leave Sydney at 3 o’clock this afternoon for Auckland and Wellington, respectively. The Ulimaroa left Wellington 1 shortly after noon to-day for Sydney. The three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. CARGO FROM ADELAIDE. The local office of the Union Company has been advised that cargo ex the Kaitune from Adelaide has been transhipped to the Manuka, which is due at Wellington on Monday from Melbourne. The cargo will be later transhipped at Wellington for Auckland, and should reach this port, about .Friday next. RARANGA’S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion .Company's steamer Raranga left New Plymouth yesterday for the Wanganui roadstead, Napier, Auckland (April 15 to April 3 8), Tokomaru and Wellington. She is due there on April 19, and will sail finally from that port on April 24 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. WESTMORELAND DELAYED. —Heavy weather has delayed the loading of the Westmoreland in the Wanganui roadstead. She is now not expected to arrive at Wellington before next Sunday or Monday, and is to leave there next Wednesday for Port Chalmers, to fill up. The vessel is now timed to sail finally from Port Chalmers on April 3 3 for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain.
