Pope, Assistant Director- • leneral of Agriculture, who is retiring on superannuation after 43 years in the service, was yesterday bid farewell by members of the staff. Dr. C. J. Reakes, Director of Agriculture, said he did not know of any member of the service more conscientious and thorough. One of Mr. Pope’s most outstanding works was his reorganisation of the department.
