A SERIOUS POSITION.—Twenty-three cases of influenza have been reported among the crew of the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare. The Auckland Hospital Board refused the invalids admission to the public hospital. The Health Department insists that the board is responsible for the care of the sick men, who will have to be treated on board the vessel. Photograph shows the Maui Pomare in the stream this morning. She has been in port for some days, and has just come out of dock.
