THAT GOOD DEED
The sun was going down when the Boy Scout realised, with a start, that he had forgotten to perform his day’s good deed. Anxiously he glanced around him. Then he breathed a sigh of relief. An old lady was standing on the edge of the pavement gazing at the traffic as It swept past. The Boy Scout went up to her. “May I accompany you across this busy street, madam?” he asked. “Why, of course,” beamed the old lady. With the Scout holding her arm, the two of them crossed over to the other side. Then the old lady turned to him. “You poor little fellow!” she exclaimed. “How long had you been waiting there lor someone to take you across ?” - _
