PERSONAL. —The Northern Company advises the following- changes made on the various vessels owing to the withdrawal of the Ngapuhi:— Captain E. DorTing, master of the Ngapuhi, to the Clansman, Captain E. Keatley, from the Clansman to the Arapawa, Captain W. Robertson, from the Arapawa to the Ronaki. Captain J. Freeman has returned from holidays and has rejoined the Taniwha, relieving Captain W. Raynes, who returns to the Waipu. Captain N. Morgan, from the Waipu, rejoins the Hauiti, and acting-Captain J. Hopkins is appointed chief officer of the Rangitoto. Mr. J. Humphreys, chief officer of the Ngapuhi, is acting-chief officier of the Ronaki. Mr. W. Hurley is ashore for orders. RUAHINE FOR HOME. —To-morrow the New Zealand Shipping Company's' liner Ruahine leaves Wellington, with passengers, mails and cargo, for Southampton and London, via Panama. AORANGI FROM VANCOUVER.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi leaves Vancouver to-day, via Victoria, Honolulu, and Suva, for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on April 21. NIAGARA FOR AUCKLAND. —Tomorrow the TJnion Company’s R.M.S. Niagara is to leave Sydney for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver. She is due here next Monday and sails at 11 a.m. the following day in continuation of her voyage. MAUI POMARE UNDOCKING.—The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare undocks to-morrow and berths at the King’s Wharf. At 3 p.m. next Tuesday she leaves Auckland for Niue Island and Apia, Samoa. Spedding, Ltd., is the agent. KING MALCOLM SAILS SATURDAY. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the motor-ship King Malcolm, which has been discharging basic slag at Auckland, leaves here on Saturday for Fremantle, where she will load wheat for Home. CITY OF ROUBAIX SAILING—In continuation of her voyage from New York, the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company hopes to dispatch the steamer City of Roubaix from Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. MARISTON FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. To-morrow afternoon the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company hopes to dispatch the steamer Mariston from Auckland for New Plymouth, where she will complete her discharge of basic slag from Antwerp. HUNTINGDON FOR SOUTH. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Federal steamer Huntingdon leaves Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff: to land the remainder of her Liverpool cargo. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Ulimaroa leaves Wellington at noon on Friday for Sydney, and both the Marama and the Maunganui leave Sydney at 3 p.m. the same day for Auckland and W’ellingtQn respectively. The three ships are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. MATAROA SAILS TO-DAY.—This afternoon the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mataroa leaves Auckland for Gisborne and Wellington to fill up for Home. She is to clear Wellington finally on April 13 for Southampton and London, via Panama. GREAT BARRIER SERVICE.—The Northern Company advises that the Rangitoto will make a daylight trip to the Great Barrier on Thursday. It will be her last trip this season. Next week the Apanui will resume the usual service to the Great Barrier, making one trip a week, as was formerly done. GOLDEN CLOUD FOR SOUTH.—Henderson and, Macfarlane advises that the American steamer Golden Cloud leaves Auckland on Saturday for Wellington and Dunedin to complete her discharge of Pacific Coast cargo. From Dunedin the vessel proceeds to Suva; thence Levuka and Savi to load for San Francisco.

MOTUIHI MID-WEEK TRIPS.—The Northern Steamship Company advises that the mid-week trips to Motuihl will be continued throughout the winter. The Omana will leave Auckland at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, and leaves Motuihl at 5 p.m. the same days. PORT NAPIER BERTHING.—The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company advises that the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Napier is due at Auckland at 1 p.m to-day from Motuihi and berths at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her London cargo. On Monday she leaves here for Wellington and New Ply mouth to complete discharge. TRONGATE TO DOCK.—Spedding, Ltd., advises that the steamer Trongate is to complete her discharge of Java sugar at Chelsea to-morrow, and docks on Friday morning for cleaning and painting. She undocks Saturday morning, and at noon the same day sails for Westport for bunkers. Her future movements have, not yet been announced. TASMANIA TO LOAD.—Advice has been received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company that the steamer Tasmania leaves Wellington on Friday for loading at Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due here on April 11, and is scheduled to sail finally from this port on April 13 for London and West Coast ports of England, via Panama. TAURANGA CARGO SERVICE. —The Northern Steamship Company’s auxiliary schooner Ronaki will make her first trip on the new Tauranga cargo service to-day, leaving Auckland at 2 p.m. The Ngapuhi is now off the run, and henceforth only cargo will be catered for. The Ronaki will leave here for Tauranga again at noon on Saturday, and twice weekly thereafter. HOKIANGA (11.45 a.m.), 271 tons. Kennedy, from Hokianga. HAUTURU (6 p.m.), 270 tons, Pert, for Raglan and Kawhia. The Hauturu left for Raglan, Kawhia and Waikato Heads yesterday, and arrives back at 6 o’clock on Friday morning. She will sail for Hokianga at 3 p.m. that day. The Hokianga is to sail at 5 p.m. today for Hokianga. The Rarawa is due at 7.30 o’clock tomorrow morning from New Plymouth. She will leave on the return trip at 4 p.m. that afternoon.
