NEW MISSIONARIES

WORK IN MELANESIA ARRIVALS FROM ENGLAND Four new recruits for the Melanesian Mission will journey to the Solomon Islands with the mission steamer Southern Cross when she leaves Auckland on April 18. THE new workers are the Rev. R. P. Fallowes, Mr. H. Seaton, Sister Margaret and Sister Gwen. The women are members of a, Chrurch of England religious community and will establish a community in the islands. All arrived recently from England by the Rangitiki. Mr. Fallowes, an M.A. of Cambridge, comes from Worthing, Sussex. He served for a year as a lay missionary in Canada during 1919. After his ordination he became curate of St. John’s Church, East Dulwich, where he worked for five years. Mr. Fallowes will be stationed on the island of Marovovo. Mr. Seaton, who is a builder, was for some time identified with the Church Army in London. He has a brother on the staff of the mission, but now on furlough in England. Mr. Seaton will assist in the construction of the new hospital at Mala. Sister Margaret is a daughter of the Rev. J. M. Wilson, late headmaster of

"Clifton College, England, and was educated at Newnham. She has worked as a missionary in South Africa and in India. Sister Gwen, who is a B.Sc. of London University, and who has had teaching experience under the London County Council, has had four or five years’ association with Sister Margaret in mission work in India. Bishop F. M. Molyneux, who is at present in the Dominion, will arrive in Auckland on April 16 and leave by the mission steamer. Two members of the mission now on furlough in New Zealand, the Rev. C. Rawson and Miss E. S. Williams, are returning with the Southern Cross. Other passengers will be the Rev/ W. V. and Mrs. Milne, of the Presbyterian Mission, who are returning as guests of the Melanesian Mission.
