A luxurious, up-to-date passenger motor-bus for Birkenhead. That is the latest news for residents, and good, welcome news it is. In common with other suburban districts, Birkenhead has suffered in recent months because of the lack of transport facilities, but now that the bus licensing question has been stabilised, assuring a greater security of tenure, bus proprietors have shown themselves ready and willing to invest in the best vehicles that can be obtained. Mr. L. L. Purdie has put into service at Birkenhead one of the most modern types of bus now on the market. It is a "Stewart,” supplied through Trucks, Ltd., New North Road, and it's efficiency, luxury and general reliability has already met with general commendation. It is felt by residents of Birkenhead, and as far as Glenfield and Albany, that the advent of a good bus service under the management of a man with a thorough, practical experience of the business and a sound knowledge of the most suitable type of vehicle, will be a great benefit to the district, and an example to future enterprise of a similar kind.
