For farmers’ butter in the markets there is a moderate demand. Values are from 1s to 1s 4d a lb. In the shops the best factory butter is selling at 1s Sd a lb. Forequarters of lamb are selling at 1s a lb. in the shops; Poin and hindquarters. 1s 3d; leg, 1s 4d; leg of mutton, 9d; hindquarters, 8d: forequarters, 7d; shoulders, and necks, 7.id; neck and breast, 6d: leg and loin chops, 11d; neck chops, 3d; trimmed cutlets, 1s 1d: prime rib of beef. 7d : corned round and beef steak, 8d ; suet, gravy beef and sausages. 6d; rump steak. 1s 2d; sirloin, 10d: chuck rib. 7d ; wing rib, 9d.
