“OUR DANCING DAUGHTERS”
FILM PICTURE FOR NEW REGENT “Our Dancing Daughters,” the new film which comes to the New Regent Theatre on Thursday next, has heralded its fame far and wide. Joan Crawford has the starring roJe with Nils Astrerd, Anita Page, Johnny Mack Brown, Dorothy Sebastian and other favourites in the cast. This startling glimpse into the lives of three very modern young women who choose different paths to happiness is by most unusual screen presentation given to a critical motionpicturo public for many years. And in unfolding this daring tale, the clever hand of the director, Harry Beaumont, reaches into the homes of these girls and brings forth the parents to bo judge dfor the misadventures of the jazz-age children. Diana, Beatrice and Anne are three society giri friends, Diana being the worthiest of the three; Beatrice, who confesses her indiscretions when she marries; and Anne, who is a golddigger and effects to be old-fashioned to win a young millionaire, whom Diana loves. After the elaborate marriage Anne sets a reckless pace, which eventually ends in disaster. Later the millionaire and Diana are reunited.
