BUCKLAND The Buckland Bowling Club held a pairs tournament to-day. There were 16 entries, comprising pairs from the Clevedon, Tuakau, Pukekohe, Manurewa and Buckland Clubs. In section A Campbell and Hewittt (Buckland) were the winners, while in section B Bullock and Rae ( Buckland) were successful. The final will be played on a date to be arranged. HAMILTON The pairs tournament organised by the Hamilton Bowling Club was continued to-day in fine weather. Seven rounds were completed. Following is the summary : Section A.—Metcalfe, 7 wins, no losses ; Crawshaw, G and 1 ; Wilkes, 4 and 3 ; Irvine, 3 and 4 ; House, 3 and 4 ; Evans. 3 and 4 ; Kelly, 1 and 6 ; Kivell, 1 and 6. Section B.—Budd, 7 wins, no losses ; D. G. Andrews. 5 and 2 ; Lymburn, 4 and 3 ; F. Booth, 3 and 4 ; Dowds, 3 and 4 ; Map ters, 2 and 5 ; Varney, 3 and 4 ; Ireland. 1 and 6. Section C.—Fenwick, 7 wins, no losses ; Meredith, 6 and 1 ; Yeoman, 3 and 4 ; Wycherley, 4 and 3 : Harkins, 3 and 4 ; Going, 2 and 5 ; Goodwin, 2 and 5 ; Lamprell, 1 and 6. Section —North, 7 wins, no losses ; Hollard, T and 3 : Loveridge, 5 and 2 ; Mitchell, 5 and 2 ; Johnson, 3 and 4 ; Land, 3 and 4 : Bennett, 1 and 6 ; Wheeler, no wins, 7 losses. PAPATOETOE Many members of the Papatoetoe Bowling Club participated in the progressive pairs tournament which was played on the Papatoetoe green yesterday. The skips’ section was won by Bayliss, and Carr won the leads’ section. Both registered five wins and no losses.
