BIBLE-CLASS CAMPS
ANNUAL EASTER MEETINGS The annual camp of the Auckland district of the Young Men s Methodist Bible Class Union, which has been held at Pine Island during the past four days, concluded yesterday, when visitors were entertained and a sports programme held. About 800 people visited tho camp on a special steamer. A record number of young men attended the camp, which was in charge of the Rev. K. T. Olds. The camp pennant and district banner were both won by the Mount Eden class, and the Herbert Smith Sports Cup by the Devonport class. Tiie elocutionary medal was won by < Spooner. The annual Easter camp of the Presbyterian Young Men's Bible Classes was held at Hunuu during the holidays, about 200 members attending. On Friday evening the cainp was addressed by Mr. T. Haslett, of Genewho spoke on the work of the League of Nations. A sports meeting w*s hold on Saturday afternoon, and in the evening the Rev. W. Hyland was elected chairman, Mr. T. Paterson secretary, and Mr. .7. Falla treasurer. A large number of visitors attended the camp yesterday afternoon, when sports events and a. football match were held. A camp-fire meeting was held at night.
