LEOPARD SNATCHES DOG FROM MAN’S ARMS
To have a dog snatched out of his arms by a leopard was the experience of Mr. Emerson, veterinary officer, of Londiani, Africa. Mr. Emerson drove away from his house at night in a car, accompanied by a friend, and after going a few hundred yards he noticed that his dog had followed him. Stopping the car, Mr. Emerson leaned out to pick up the dog. As he put his arm round it, a leopard sprang from the bushes at the side of the road, closed its jaws on the dog, and bounded back into the darkness with its prey.
