SAVING STONEHENGE
FUNDS TO BUY LAND British Official Wireless RUGBY, Friday. Although the land on which the famous druidical remains at Stonehengehas long been preserved as a place of historic interest, there has been some danger that the landscape setting of 650 acres in which Stonehenge stands
might pass into the hands of builders. A public appeal for funds to purchase this land for a national trust has met with zi splendid response, and the sum necessary lias now been subscribed.
