KING’S CONSIDERATION
BAND PLAYS AT BQGNOR PUBLIC ALLOWED NEAR HOUSE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON. Saturday. Wearing an overcoat and sitting behind screens on the lawn at Craigweil House amid the Royal suite this morning, the King listened to an Army School of Music Band’s recital. A great crowd listened from the beach, a police cordon preventing the public’s approach to the house. Learning of the disappointment of the people at this restriction, his Majesty allowed them to go to the seawall. from which they could plainly See him in his arm-chair chatting with the Archbishop of Canterbury. After the concert the King approached the sea-wall and raised his hat to the assembled people.
