COMPULSORY CHRISTIANS

Sir, — Now that so many objections are being voiced against compulsory military training, would a suggestion from a simple Christian mother be listened to? I would like to see a system of compulsory Church attendance for young folk brought into force. At present our young people are careless toward religious matters, but if we mould their minds while they are young and plastic, we would * bring forth a generation of God-fearing young people, whose attitude toward life would make war impossible. At present all our young folk think of on Sundays is going to the beaches. RUTH.
