NORTHCOTE TOURNEY SIXTY MATCHES DECIDED Over 90 competitors are ukmg ’ in the Northcote and Birkenhead Tennis Club’s annual Easter tourne> which began at Xorthcote on Saturday. The matches were to have l>egun on the Friday, but rain caused ab&nd onment ol the day s play and ail fixtures were started anew. The courts were in good order considering the amount of rain which had soaked them, but the chip surface?, dried sufficiently to permit of resump tion of play at noon on Saturday. Soni» 60 matches were put through in th< eliminating rounds.
